Before you start
Sign in as Root and open Apex Operations Center.
Steps
-
Open Monitoring.
Choose Root Settings → Monitoring.
-
Set resource thresholds.
Enter the CPU percentage, process memory and the number of consecutive samples that must exceed them.
-
Set website thresholds.
Enter the sampled request level, the minimum number of HTTP 5xx responses, the error rate and the consecutive samples.
-
Set disk, mail and backup thresholds.
Choose the account disk and inode warnings, the server filesystem warning, outbound and failed mail per hour, the mail queue size and the maximum backup age.
-
Set history and the collector budget.
Choose detailed history (2–24 hours), long-term history (1–7 days), the resolved-concern archive (7–90 days) and the collector time budget (20–80 seconds).
-
Save and adjust single accounts.
Save the form. Use Account thresholds to override values for individual accounts.
What you should see
The saved values reload, and future samples follow the new thresholds.
If something goes wrong
Website concerns need both the error count and the error rate for the configured samples. Changing settings does not recreate old measurements. If monitoring stays stale, check the collector:
systemctl status zamfoo-operations-collector.timer zamfoo-operations-collector.service
journalctl -u zamfoo-operations-collector.service -n 50 --no-pager
