Before you start
Sign in as Root. Counts include every account below the Apex reseller, including accounts owned by lower resellers.
Steps
-
Open Account limits.
Go to Apex Operations Center → Root Settings → Account limits.
-
Find the Apex account.
Check the username before editing.
-
Enter the tier limits.
Set the maximum Super Alpha, Alpha, Master, WHM and cPanel counts. Use -1 for unlimited and 0 to allow none.
-
Save.
Save the account’s limits and reload to confirm them.
-
Test account creation.
Create a test account under the Apex branch. If it would exceed a limit, creation is refused with the reason shown.
What you should see
The saved limits are shown, and new accounts that would exceed them are refused before cPanel creates them.
If something goes wrong
These limits replace the Apex account’s own hosting-package count limits, but lower resellers keep their package limits. Each account counts at its actual tier, so a zero Super Alpha limit does not stop Alpha, Master or WHM accounts. Lowering a limit never deletes existing accounts. Restores and accounts whose owner Zamfoo does not track are not blocked.
