Before you start
You need root SSH access, a working cPanel/WHM server and your Zamfoo license key. This installer requires x86_64 Linux with RPM. It checks for cPanel and the server architecture.
Steps
-
Sign in to your server.
Connect through SSH as root. Replace
YOUR_SERVER_IPwith your server’s address.ssh root@YOUR_SERVER_IP -
Download the installer.
Save the installer so you can review it before running it.
cd /root curl -fSL https://www.zamfoo.com/downloads/install.sh -o zamfoo-install.sh -
Review the script.
Open the downloaded file. Press q to leave the viewer.
less /root/zamfoo-install.sh -
Run the installer.
Run the script from the root terminal. It downloads the latest RPM, installs it and registers the Zamfoo menu in WHM.
bash /root/zamfoo-install.sh -
Enter your license key.
Enter your issued key when prompted. If you skip the prompt, follow Change the Zamfoo Reseller license key after installation.
-
Open Zamfoo.
Sign in to WHM as root. Search for Zamfoo, then open Zamfoo Reseller under Plugins.
-
Check existing accounts.
If this server already hosts accounts, open Reconcile Zamfoo and WHM account tracking. Review the listed differences before applying fixes.
What you should see
Zamfoo opens in WHM and accepts your license. Check that the reseller tiers included in your plan are available.
If something goes wrong
If the download reports a certificate error, stop and report the download URL and error to support. If RPM installation fails, keep the error text. The installer requires cPanel and x86_64; a Linux distribution name alone does not confirm compatibility.
Zamfoo Malware Protect is installed separately. See Install Zamfoo Malware Protect.
