Before you start
You need root SSH access. Pause billing automation and back up Zamfoo settings, license information and hosting accounts first.
Steps
-
Check the installation type.
Run:
rpm -q ZamfooContinue only if RPM returns an installed Zamfoo package. For a manual deployment, ask support to remove the files installed for that release.
-
Review what the package owns.
List the installed files and removal actions.
rpm -ql Zamfoo rpm -q --scripts ZamfooNote any Apex Operations services listed, such as the zamfoo-operations timers.
-
Remove the package.
When the backup and file list have been checked, remove Zamfoo:
rpm -e Zamfoo -
Check the WHM menu.
Sign out of WHM and sign back in. Search for Zamfoo. The Reseller menu should be gone. Removing the package unregisters this menu.
-
Check hosting and remaining components.
Confirm that websites, mail and native WHM accounts still work. Ask support to remove any separately installed Operations files or services. Keep your backups for recovery.
What you should see
rpm -q Zamfoo reports that the package is not installed. The Reseller menu is gone, and hosting services have been checked.
If something goes wrong
This guide removes the Zamfoo Reseller package only. To remove Malware Protect, see Uninstall Zamfoo Malware Protect. Do not delete shared cPanel asset or library folders by hand.
