Before you start
Sign in as Root. For WHM notifications, WHM must have a contact address in Contact Manager.
Steps
-
Open Alerts.
Choose Root Settings → Alerts.
-
Choose channels.
Turn on alerts, then choose WHM notifications and/or email to up to five addresses.
-
Set the rules.
Choose the minimum severity, the delay before alerting, repeat reminders, resolution notices and the hourly limit.
-
Include Apex resellers if wanted.
Optionally email each Apex reseller about concerns in their own tree, using the Apex account’s contact email.
-
Schedule the weekly digest.
Choose the day and hour for a summary of opened, resolved and open concerns, time to resolve, and quota and backup gaps.
-
Save and send a test.
Save, then use the test buttons and check the delivery log.
What you should see
The test message arrives, and the delivery log shows each alert and its outcome.
If something goes wrong
Each collector run sends at most one batched message per recipient. Snoozed or acknowledged concerns and excluded accounts are not alerted, and alerts pause during maintenance windows. A failed delivery is logged and retried after 15 minutes. Slack, Discord, Telegram and webhooks are coming soon.
