Before you start
You need root SSH access and the matching Malware Protect release from support. Wait for scans and cleanups to finish.
Steps
-
Finish current work.
Let running scans and cleanups finish, or stop the scan and cancel the cleanup.
-
Back up the installation.
Keep a copy of the plugin folder before replacing any files.
tar -czf /root/zamfoo_malware-backup.tar.gz -C /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi zamfoo_malware -
Restore the release files.
Install the release files supplied by support into the same folder.
-
Repair maintenance.
Reinstall the maintenance timer.
bash /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/zamfoo_malware/deployment/install-timer.sh -
Repair account reports.
Re-register the WHM app and the cPanel Malware Reports page.
bash /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/zamfoo_malware/deployment/install-account-portal.sh -
Verify before resuming.
Open Zamfoo Malware Protect, check the scanners and run a test scan.
What you should see
Malware Protect opens, the timer is active and your detections, reports and saved copies are still listed.
If something goes wrong
If a cleanup was interrupted, resume or cancel it in Detections & cleanup. Reinstalling does not restore deleted saved copies.
