Before you start
Sign in to WHM as root. Keep the exact error message, but do not share your full license key.
Steps
-
Read the error.
Check whether it mentions a missing key, an invalid key, a server mismatch or Apex access.
-
Check the saved key.
For a missing or blank key, follow Change the Zamfoo Reseller license key. Check spelling and remove accidental spaces.
-
Check your subscription.
Ask the license provider to confirm that the plan is active and registered to this server.
-
If you are moving servers, update the registration.
Give the provider the new server’s main IP address. Wait for confirmation before testing the key on the new server.
-
Test again.
Reopen Zamfoo in WHM. If only Apex is blocked, confirm that the plan includes Apex. Send support the error text and time if it still fails.
What you should see
Zamfoo accepts the key on the intended server and shows the features included in your plan.
If something goes wrong
Editing a key file does not change the server registered to the license. A key that starts with “Apex” also needs an active Apex plan. If the server cannot contact the licensing service, report the connection error to support.
