Before you start
Open Apex Operations Center as Root. Confirm that the customer really controls the IP.
Steps
-
Check the IP.
Open Security, enter the IP and choose Check IP.
-
Review the provider results.
Read the CSF and cPHulk status and the block reason before choosing an action.
-
Remove a permanent block if appropriate.
Use Remove permanent block when it appears and confirm the address. This does not whitelist the IP.
-
Trust the IP only when intended.
Use Trust this IP permanently only when it should be exempt from future automatic blocking in CSF and cPHulk.
-
Verify the result.
Read the refreshed status and Activity & Reviews → Action history. Investigate any partial failure.
What you should see
CSF and cPHulk report the intended block or trust state.
If something goes wrong
Removing a permanent deny and trusting an IP have different effects. A trusted address may bypass future protection. If one provider fails, check the recorded outcome before repeating the action.
