Zamfoo Software Upgrade/ Reinstall

The following article will help you upgrade/ re-install Zamfoo on your server.

Note: Reinstalling Zamfoo only affects the script files. Data files are left untouched and therefore a Zamfoo upgrade can be safely done without having to worry about data loss. A reinstall must be performed in one of the following 2 conditions:

  • You wish to upgrade Zamfoo on your server
  • A prior installation of Zamfoo has failed

To upgrade or re-install Zamfoo on your server, run the following commands from SSH:

cd /
wget http://www.zamfoo.com/downloads/zamfoo_reinstaller.tar
tar -xvf zamfoo_reinstaller.tar
chmod 755 reinstall.cgi
./reinstall.cgi

Then follow the directions in the license key file which automatically opens if you ran the above commands correctly. The license key itself is located in Client Zone.
